The Pelican’s Perch: Version 2.0

A new day at the Pelican’s Perch begins. I told myself first and foremost for a New Year’s resolution to get a legit blog set up. Well, here it is. This is by no means the final blog, as I found a template that worked for now, but most likely will be changing it in the near future. But you guys are used to that already, since I’ve changed my xanga blog format more times than I can count, adding new backgrounds and bells and whistles left and right the whole three years I’ve been blogging there. But a new era at the Perch begins today.
I’ll try to keep up the posting as much as possible, especially once the school year starts back up again, and I’ll make a bigger effort to do special posts like top 10 lists and more Perch Mixes. As usual, the mp3 links will probably last a week or two, then I’ll take them off my server, which you can then ask me for them anytime and I’ll make sure to get you them. But this blog may get a lot bigger considering it’s not restricted to just xanga now, so I need to be careful about what I post. I’m still going to support indie bands of all kinds and help you the reader find new music to love, but I’m also not out to get sued by big labels. But yeah, I’ll stop rambling and declare this post the first of the Perch 2.0. Enjoy the top 50 list, with new and improved fancy flash player things (as most mp3’s will have from now on), and don’t be surprised if the look of the blog changes randomly, or if I add more links out of nowhere. This is a big work in progress, but the excitement was too much for me and I figured it’s functional enough, why not unvail it. So until tomorrow with the first real post, I bid you adou. Please leave a comment so I know people found their way here, and now that you’re not restricted to having a xanga account to comment, there should be no reason more people don’t start commenting on here. The end.
