Links and the Sort
I get emails whenever someone comments on my youtube videos and usually I look at them, but almost always disregard them because it’s usually from someone in the youtube immature army being needlessly mean because they can. But yesterday I got 16 emails about my video for my song “10,000 Miles”, which I don’t even find to be that good and I wondered what in the world could have made this happen. Well, it seems I’m riding somewhat of a youtube wave right now with one of my crappier songs. Go figure. But it’s all because of the video “8 Wishes and 10,000 Miles” which cronicles a guy’s journey across the country riding his bike to various locations to meet with kids that have dyslexia.
The video is great, as is what the guy is doing, but since I’m in the related to window on the right, I’ve gotten over 2,000 hits on the video in a week. Add to that the inevitable mean and pointless comments and you get a confused Kevin. I wrote a sarcasticly witty comment back to most of the worst comments I received and it got the kind of classic “oh yeah!” response back from them letting me know that they were super pissed now, but also proved how dumb they were in the first place since they knew they had no comeback. If for some reason you’re interested in my video, here it is. I’ve since redone it quite a bit with slightly different singing and added drumbeats etc. I mean, the video is six months old and I was just a wee little musician back then. My favorite comment was someone wondering why I was gay and wrote a song about this guy who rode his bike around, which I promptly wrote back to him reminding him this video was 6 months old, so the guy wasn’t even on youtube yet, and that it was about a girl I left behind when I went to Seattle. And that she was super hot.
