- Andrew Bird: Black Sessions live concert 2/25/05. I’ve never found them online like this, but have always loved this live set. Thanks to Music is Art for these.
- Listen to Efterklang’s “Towards the Bare Hills” when you have a chance. Love this hauntingly beautiful song
- Herbie Hancock jammin on the Fairlight CMI in 1983
- Will Sheff of Okkervil River talks to the Austin Chronicle about their new album
- Philadelphia City Paper spends a week with Man Man while they record their new album
- 10 Music 2.0 services that’ll change your listening habits forever (last.fm, songbird)
- Zach Condon of Beirut talks to Billboard about his new album (features Final Fantasy’s Owen Pallette, that’s all I needed to hear)
- The Loom is a great new band I just learned about. Listen to them here.
- Here’s a pretty interesting article on how author Alan Goldsher, who wrote a recent book about Modest Mouse, had quite the feud with Isaac Brock after he wasn’t given the ok to go through with the book, but did it anyway.
- I’ve been listening to Hype Radio a lot lately. It takes all the mp3’s and posts from the Hype Machine and randomly plays them in a playlist you can listen to and chat about with other people.
- Britt Daniel covers Sam Cooke’s “Bring it on home to me”
- I wasn’t too impressed with the Lalapalooza lineup this year until I realized you could scroll down the list, and keep scrolling, and scrolling. Basically there’s an absolute ton of bands playing this year.
