New Bishop Allen “Rain”
Time to be completely unoriginal, but a little birdie in my comment box pointed me towards a new streaming Bishop Allen song called “Rain”, so here’s a big thanks to Sara for the heads up. I’m sure you’re all aware of my love for Bishop Allen, so obviously I’m going to post the link they gave me. Here’s a thanks to that commenter and if any of you have any good links like this one, don’t hesitate to tell me.
As for the song itself, it’s vintage Bishop Allen full of xylophones, fun guitar, and any other Bishop Allen staple you can think of. After searching through the blogs, who were all on top of this already as expected, I found out the following:
- Bishop Allen are releasing their first non-bedroom produced album on Dead Oceans record label on 7/24
- It will be called Bishop Allen and the Broken String
- It will feature Bishop Allen’s 10 favorite songs from their 12 month EP series, with “Rain” being a studio version of the live version which appeared on the August EP
- There’s one new song on the new album that wasn’t on the albums
