The Pelican’s Perch

Our modem died today.  Yep, literally just up and died.  That’s unfortunate because my studies have shown that Mondays are my best days as far as hits on the site go.  Everyone’s back at work, bored, and ready to check what the Perch has to say.  “Nothing!  How dare he!”  Well, what can I do.  I’ve got a lot of new music for you this week, considering I received a whopping 10 promos in the mail on Saturday.  So, check back this week for some of Paul Brill’s singer/songwriter stuff (he did the Trials of Darryl Hunt soundtrack), a few more songs from Tin Cup Prophette, and depending how I like them, some of the other promos include My Teenage Stride, Lost in the Trees, and Morningbell.  Hopefully the first one is a case of bad name, good music.  Morningbell’s album is a choose your own adventure album so that just begs to be reviewed and I’ll get back to you on that.  For now, I have no music.  But…I do have my favorite commercial of the moment.  $20 says you either hate it beyond belief, or crack up every time you see it like I do.  And for some reason, because I found it funny when it came on, my sister found the “how to” video that teaches you the dance.  I’ll post it, but to each their own I guess.  See you tomorrow.

Two things to look for in this second video that crack me up every time.  One…the cross leg dance move with 16 seconds left, and the laugh at the end.  Positively creepy yet hilarious.
