Black Before Red
I finally had an extended conversation with my PR buddy Lucas of Team Clermont, who has sent me a lot of great music as of late, and we talked for a while about all kinds of things regarding the decline of the music industry, how the next Beatles could be out there and we’d never know it because if you’re not backed by good distribution it’s hard to ever get known, and about our separate record label ventures. Black Before Red’s new album though, was the starting point and we both agreed that it is great. I’m still not sure exactly, but some of the members were involved with Okkervil River. We know some have played in the band, but not who exactly. Either way this album, Belgrave to King’s Circle caught me so offguard this afternoon that I had to write about it.
