I’m still alive…I swear
I realize my last post was on Monday, and three days without a post is long, but not unheard of, but to me it feels like it’s been a couple months since I posted. I imagine the above picture was what Will and I looked like under our selling tent throughout the day today. Monday 8hrs, Tuesday shot 7 games in a row 12hrs, Wednesday sold all day and the tent was swarmed by parents basically the whole 12 hours we were there, then today 12hrs 15 minutes worked. Tomorrow’s my last day I’m working until Monday and since it’s slow now that teams are knocked out of the tournament, they’re having me man my tent all alone. Fun! It’s a decently good time being able to shoot baseball games and simply sell all day to mom’s after that, but being outside from 8am - 8pm every day of the week wears you out in a ridiculously quick way. Yesterday I got back around 9:30pm (we’re working in Lawrence, KS…an hour away from my home) and went straight to bed. That never feels good when your day consists of literally waking up, eating breakfast, working 12 hours, sleeping. Repeat. So, if not tomorrow night, then I’ll try to post Saturday. I do the same crazy schedule next week, then I’m done and heading back to Springfield. Thank God. It’s been a good experience, but I’m done with the sun and want to start my record label. Check on Saturday for a post on one of my favorite singer/songwriters of the moment. He’s been described as the Austrailian Damien Rice. I don’t really agree with that, but I’m sure that got you curious. Now it’s off to get some well deserved rest. Night.
