The Pelican’s Perch

You probably expected bad news in this post with a title like this, but I was just sad I couldn’t post the last part of my week long list until tomorrow.  I really thought I’d get it all in, but I guess not.  Why?  Well, today was a ridiculously good day for LemonDrop progress, as we are now officially LemonDrop Records LLC, we have our business license application in and being processed within a week, we have our retail sales tax license so we can sell stuff at the show without being under the radar…and last but not least, we just spent the last 4 hours at Studio 2100 recording drums for the Verbs.  Thing are rolling over at LemonDrop and I couldn’t be more excited.  The business side, besides making contracts, is all but done.  Once I get the contracts knocked out, it’s all downhill from there.  We’ll have a strong business base under us and a laundry list of bands waiting to join us.  The only problem is we have zero money now.  Kind of funny to think, but also kind of scary.  We should get some dough from tomorrow night’s show at Randy Bacon’s, but not nearly as much as the other show b/c we have to help pay for Anders Parker coming.  Oh well.  We’ll get on making shirts and whatnot so you guys can help us out a bit while sportin’ some fly LemonDrop T’s at the same time.  I’m excited things are finally rolling for the label and I really hope you guys are too.  Check back tomorrow for the final part of my week long list and head over to the LemonDrop blog here in the next few days b/c I took all sorts of pictures and videos today.  Whoo!
