Remembering…
“This song was the last song I listened to before I asked my wife to marry me. It was a cold, snowy day in March of 2005 and I was on my way to her house. Driving through winding roads with lots of snow and trees is all I can associate with the song now. The most serene moment of my life.”
New Perch reader Scott wrote this comment yesterday regarding my mix, more specifically the song “Over the Pond” by Album Leaf. All I have to say is I couldn’t think of a better song to listen to as I drove to propose to the woman I loved. Good for you Scott and sorry if I caught you off guard putting you on the spot like this. I mainly wrote this post because I had a very similar experience with that very song oddly enough as I drove through the Idaho Panhandle. One of the most beautiful, serene places I’ve had the pleasure of driving through, and blasting that Album Leaf song just put me over the edge. Hope everything’s well for you Scott and I hope this video takes you back to that day you proposed to your wife.
