Sigur Ros new album art / Trailer for Heima
So, thanks a lot to everyone who commented on the site today and people that called me. I have the strange tendency to get over things I’m really mad about like three hours afterwards, so by the time all the comments started coming in and people were calling me to cheer me up, I was a bit confused, then remembered, oh yeah, I wrote an incredibly depressing post today. Definitely had a case of the Mondays. But alas my dear readers, I am back to being as chipper as ever and one of the main reasons was a) listening to those three Jayme songs about 10 times each, but more importantly b) finding more info out about Sigur Ros’ new DVD and album. Here’s a brief quote from Sigur Ros’ fan site, brought to my attention by the Music Slut (I feel ridiculous even writing that):
“the photos are taken on pinhole polaroid, as is all the artwork for ‘heima’, the tour DVD which will be released alongside ‘hvarf-heim’. the cover of ‘hvarf’ is a handheld image of the mic stands just before the band arrived to play in the gentle rain. the cover of ‘heim’ is a 7 minute exposure of the view from the stage at gamla borg, where they performed an acoustic set for their family and friends last april.”

The DVD/CD set is released November 5th with Special Editions also available that have a 104 page booklet with photos from various tours taken by the band.
