Brandtson Revisited

A recent conversation with my friend Chris led to the realization that he only had Brandtson’s debut album, which he enjoyed quite a bit, but hadn’t heard of their two follow-ups.  This set me off on a long tangent about how much their album Send Me a Signal pretty much defined my high school days.  Their song “Escapist” was my favorite song for most of high school and this last weekend I jumped back on a Brandtson kick for the first time in probably three years.  Most of you may find Brandtson to be a bit emo, but this is purely a memory lane post for me.  We all have our guilty pleasure bands, and this was a band I couldn’t get enough of in high school.

That’s funny, because I listened to them when I was in high school, and I’m 25–look them up on allmusic and you’ll see that they’ve had six albums and an ep, the first released back in 1998.
