…and have you heard of Vampire Weekend? It’s like an indie Paul Simon someone shouted to me today. I can kind of hear that comparison. I hear more of the Shins myself, but weren’t they pretty much the last indie Paul Simon sounding band anyway? Listen for yourself. There’s way better examples on the album of the Paul Simon/Shins sound, but this song is just too good not to post. Love it, especially when the string part comes in.
Vampire Weekend - Walcott
Yeah, Vampire Weekend is a lot more similar to the Shins in my opinion. Great stuff though. Bryn is a good song to listen to also.
