Top 50 of 2007 list update
I’m working on it. Yep, that’s the update. But I wanted to let you know I wasn’t slacking like usual this time around with my lack of posts. I’ve been busy compiling my top 50 list and writing songs. Next week is my Best of 2007 week, so get yourself prepared. My top 50 list split up in a few posts. My top movies of the year, top 20 songs, honorable mention albums, and possibly more. Who knows. I’ve been preparing all this stuff in my downtime this week, so next week I’ll just unleash it on you and see the reactions. Should be a good time, and sorry my top 50 list is coming two weeks into the new year. What can ya do?
For now, check out the Mother’s Basement project. I sat for a good 30 minutes tonight listening to all the songs, but basically me reading Benjamin Cooper’s blog (of Radical Face/Electric President) led me to the Mother’s Basement Project. It’s a project in which Ben and two of his friends took strict criteria for each assignment and made songs following that criteria. One is using any part of a certain classical piece as inspiration, the second is using only body parts, and the third is using three acoustic guitars. The results are great, with Benjamin’s being my favorite each time, go figure, but definitely check it out. I’m becoming more and more of a fan of Benjamin’s music as he just keeps releasing wonderful stuff.
