The Perch Mix CDs Vol. 4 - Rainy Day

So, Springfield’s pretty much flooded. It has rained non-stop since probably 8pm last night. The tiny creek next to my uncle’s shop is now a raging river and driving around town, since Springfield’s drainage system is terrible, is near impossible and a lot of intersections you just have to take backroads around. Let’s just say me and the weather here in Springfield have been on bad terms for quite a while now. This year has been ridiculous. T-shirt weather, next day ice storm. T-shirt weather, next couple days flooding. I’ve never been ready for Spring and Summer to arrive in all my life. Good thing I learned what the Sun was back in grade school, because I’ve damn near forgotten what it looks like. What’s this strange heat sensation I’m feeling, and that tiny yellow orb in the sky?

So, since it’s raining and I’m quite comfortable in my sweats in my cozy room, I figured I’d share yet another mix I made for my aunt’s Christmas present. I’ve listened to it while writing this and I think I did a pretty good job. It’s the kind of mix that makes you want to sit by the window, stare at the rain, and sigh thinking, the Sun’s out there somewhere. I just know it. Or maybe you’ll just read a book while listening to it. Whatever floats floods your boat.

Quite good choice. Especially Sufjan Stebes - I can even feel the raindrops fallin’ on my skin. But every time I think about the rain, I hear Piano Magic “Season Is Long” in my head. Can’t it be number 14?

Have a nice day.

Sorry, Sufjan :) Stevens of course :)

Actually it’s the beginning of the summer over here (Israel), but im always in the mood for a good ol’ rainy-ish mixtape. Thanks a bunch.

Gorgeous and perfect.

I think it goes w/out saying how much I like this mix!
