Much Apologies
It seems I always get on a roll and post a ton, getting a lot of feedback and talking to all kinds of new people through the blog, then I get super busy with work, my record label, writing music, and well, just being plain busy. So, here’s a big I’m Sorry and next week I’ll try and get a bunch of posts up. I’ve got more than enough to talk to, I just don’t make any money off my blog like most the big bloggers, so, unlike them, I have to keep working my crappy part time job instead of posting all day long and trying to get interviews and the like. One day my friends, one day. I’d say by the end of Summer, when we’re deep into recording my album, we’ve released four or so albums on my label and it’s officially up and kicking, and when Charlie, the other cat behind LemonDrop Records, uses his ridiculous website skills to completely revamp the Perch from top to bottom, that’s when I’ll be able to start making some dough with the site, or conversely, will be making enough with my music and the label to not have to work 9-5 at a non-music related job just to pay the bills.
What’s the point of this post? I’m heading to Kansas City with 14, yes 14!, of my closest friends for one heck of a crazy weekend and I can’t wait. So, I’m rushing to get all packed and over to Tyler’s so we can leave, but if you’re in Springfield this weekend, check out Rock ‘n Ribs and go support the Verbs as their nominated for top 5 bands in Springfield by Go Magazine. If they win, that’d be huge for both the band and for LemonDrop since they’re one of our first signed bands. I’m crossing my fingers. Also for you Springfieldians, April 29th is the Verbs’ cd release show at the Gillioz Theatre, our old, but newly renovated theatre that should be awesome to have a concert in. Details are below.
