A Detektivbyran Update

Detektivbyran, arguably my favorite instrumental band, finally finished their newest album, Wermland, and I’m more than excited to get my hands on it. They posted two new songs over at their myspace, so here’s my heads up to all of you to go over there asap and give them a listen. “Om Du Moter Vag” is a nice upbeat song that falls in line with their past music, full of the vintage Detektivbyran accordian and even features a neat synth line towards the end. “Neonland” is much quieter, consisting of mainly xylophones, vibraphone sounding synths, and subtle beats behind it. Both songs are great in their own unique way, and I can only imagine that the rest of the album will be right up there in quality. I can’t wait for the new album, and hopefully a few of you out there are just as excited as me. Here’s the links to their “making of Wermland” that I thoroughly enjoyed.

And since I think getting a signed copy of the album would be cool, I’d recommend clicking this and pre-ordering their new album.
