A few new songs to pass the time
I usually star the emails I get in my gmail that I want to talk about on here for sure, and those starred emails are getting super backed up because of my year end list, so I’m just going to post in between each installment of my list to keep you guys listening to music. Each section of my list takes so long to finish, so just keep looking out for each section as I finish them, and in the meantime, I’ll post the stuff I’ve been meaning to talk about. Here’s a few good songs of note I just got today.

Suburban Kids With Biblical Names – 1999
It’s been three years since SKWBN released their last album, and that’s about three years too long. Thankfully, they’re back in action with a new EP called #4. I was a big fan of their previous stuff, so this EP should prove to be just as good. I’ll get you an update on the EP as soon as I get more info. It comes out February 4th on Labrador.

Jackson McLaren – Farewell This House
Jackson is 17 years old and from Austrailia. This song start off acoustic, with him just singing, but half way through when the band joins, that’s when you see the potential this young musician has. I’m not sure if he has an album out yet, but he is currently the opening act for the Swell Season, which is Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova’s project, and you all know how much I enjoyed the Once soundtrack. Definitely check his first single out.

Wow, to think that guy’s the same age I am… I need to get a move on with my music jeez.
Good stuff though. I’ve been reading from afar, keep it up, and thanks for the list, I was looking forward to it!
