I’ve been waiting a while for any new info on the new pop supergroup fun since they unveiled their first single at their myspace, and I’m happy to announce that I’ve got a wealth of new info for you. For those unfamiliar with the band, the members consist of former front man of The Format Nate Ruess, ex-Anathallo multi-instrumentalist Andrew Dost and Steel Train’s Jack Antonoff. B ig players in three really great bands all coming together to form what sounds a lot like The Format 2.0. But with the addition of Dost and Antonoff, I’m sure there will be obvious distinctions from Fun and the Format.
But on to the new info. Their new album is called Aim and Ignite and will be released August 25th on Nettwerk Records. You can catch them on tour with Manchester Orchestra right now (tour dates below). I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty excited to hear this new album. Once I get my promo in the mail, you guys will be the first I update with how the album turned out sounding. Stick around for more info in the coming months.
