The Dodos New Album Leaks and They’re Running With It
I’ll come right out of the gate and admit I had no idea Dodos’ new album was even finished being recorded. An email yesterday alerted me that not only was their new album all done, but it had leaked onto the interwebs. In response, Dodos set up a website to counteract the leak and let everyone know that they don’t mind. The new album is at that website for you to fully stream to your heart’s desire, there’s a message from the band, and they even moved the digital street date up from September to July 28th. I personally think this move is pretty great of them. Sure it’s not good the album leaked, but with promos being sent out these days to bloggers and media people three months ahead of time, it’s almost inevitable it’ll leak not too soon after.
Regardless, you can download the new album on July 28th, then pick up the physical copy on September 15th. Any of you who are fans of Dodos previous album Visiter should find plenty to like with this new one. I’ll have my review closer to the end of the month. Enjoy the stream for the time being.
