MGMT – Flash Delirium

Not sure what to think of this new offering from MGMT.  I don’t want to join the masses out there saying they’re trying to fit too many influences and styles into one song, but they’re definitely not wrong.  I’m used to dancing away to most songs on their last album, and this one really wouldn’t work too well at a dance party.  Unless we were all on drugs I guess.  Judge for yourself, but this left me quite underwhelmed.  It’ll be near impossible to top Oracular Spectacular, but there better be at least a few songs that can rival “Kids” or “Time to Pretend” and not all be psychedelic stuff, or this blogger won’t be very happy.

I love MGMT, but wow, I REALLY hate this. I hope this is the only song they’re thinking of doing like this…

Different, not their best. But it has potential, wait for a remix to come about.

go fuck yourselves man, you will never understand the intricate-ness that is MGMT. . . they used a new producer and im sorry if it isnt POP enough for you, but fuck you all if you dont understand what they’re trying to do. . . email me if you disagree please I welcome it all day long
